Cow Patty Flats is located in Northern California 6 miles west of the small town of Dorris, CA. (pop. 800)
Dorris is on highway 97 just south of the CA/OR state line. 20 miles south of Klamath Falls, OR
and 50 miles North of Weed, CA.
CPF sets at an elevation of 4200' and has a volcanic ridge that divides the ranch in to two very distinct terrains.
The elevation of the ridge is 4600' and offers great views of Mt. Shasta, the Siskiyou Mountains,
and Mt. McLoughlin in Oregon.
From atop the ridge you can over look the hay fields below to the West and to the East you see the
CPF is surrounded by BLM land as well as Oregon state forest and some private timber companies.
The land is covered with Pine trees and Juniper tress. CPF is open range land and covers 153 acres, and is host to a large number of
grazing cows, and is also the wintering grounds for deer, elk and other wild life in the area.
There are 2 small ponds located next to the ranch as well as a small spring that provides a great watering hole for the cows and wild life in the area.
